Heritage of Green Hills hosts Pearl Harbor Lecture

The Heritage of Green Hills hosted a special luncheon presentation for its resident veterans and spouses of veterans.

Winifred Foster Woll’s presentation, “The White Caps of Pearl Harbor,” tells the heroic story of the Army and Navy nurses who treated those wounded during the Dec. 7, 1941, attack in Hawaii.

Among those brave nurses was Woll’s mother, Teresa Stauffer Foster, who was stationed at the Tripler Hospital in Oahu, Hawaii, on that infamous date. Woll has documented the stories of many nurses who served at Pearl Harbor and is currently the Pennsylvania Chairperson for the Son & Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors.

The Heritage of Green Hills, one of Berks County’s top senior communities, hosts many special events throughout the year to honor and pay tribute to the contributions made by their resident veterans.
