Heritage Hosts Tea Party Fundraiser for Alzheimer’s Association “Longest Day”

“The day with the most light is the day we fight”

Fancy hats, fancy tea, and fancy music — The Heritage of Green Hills dressed up for a great cause!

On June 20th — the summer solstice and the day with the most light — communities, organizations, and individuals across the world come together to fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s.

In Shillington, Pa., The Community joined the Alzheimer’s Association’s “The Longest Day” fundraising effort by hosting a festive tea party in its state-of-the-art Care Center. The event brought together residents from the senior living community’s independent living, personal care, and memory care neighborhoods for a festive celebration of summer and hope.  Wooden Roses were sold at the Tea Party to honor those with dementia or who have passed away from the disease. All funds raised benefit the Alzheimer’s Association. John Cosentini provided entertainment.
