This innovative and comprehensive program creates a customized wellness plan to help you enrich your life and stay well. Whether you’re exercising your mind, strengthening your spirit or maintaining your body, you’ll have access to a wide variety of options and resources at The Heritage.
A. The Heritage apartments and villas are generously sized with plenty of natural light… making them inviting and comfortable. You’ll also appreciate distinctive touches such as dens, bay windows, balconies and patios. Plus, you have the option to customize your residence to make it your very own.
Also, as a monthly fee-for-service community, The Heritage offers healthcare and personal living care on a fee-for-service basis. So you pay for health services only if you use those services. This plan has significantly lower fees compared to LifeCare communities — where you pay upfront for care (whether you use that care or not), usually in the form of higher entrance fees and monthly fees.
A. Your monthly fee covers all of your housing expenses: cost of your residence, all maintenance, gas/water/electric, basic cable TV, twice monthly housekeeping and 24-hour security. A. The Heritage offers flexible financial options to suit your lifestyle and financial goals. These include:
- 100% Refundable Entrance Fee — Payable to you or your estate, no matter how long you live at The Heritage. This popular choice gives you the ability to preserve your estate.
- 75% Refundable Entrance Fee — Functions the same way as the 100% option, but with a smaller entrance fee.
- Declining Balance Entrance Fee — The most affordable option. Provides a 5-year time period during which a resident may leave The Heritage and receive a partial refund.
A. The Heritage offers attractive entrance fee financing through a special arrangement with nationally recognized Elderlife Financial Services. Working closely with The Heritage, Elderlife has created a Capital Access Program that provides a financial option for seniors who need temporary access to capital while their homes are being sold. It’s a smart way to finance your entrance fee by accessing capital without liquidating your assets… making it possible to start enjoying The Heritage lifestyle as quickly and easily as possible.
A. This comprehensive community-wide wellness program helps you set and achieve personal goals through 8 dimensions of wellness: social, physical, intellectual, emotional, vocational, spiritual, environmental and health services.
You’ll work with an on-staff wellness expert to establish your own customized wellness path. More than 80% of residents at The Heritage attend some form of physical activity program each day. Clearly, Well by Design is motivating, rewarding and fun, and supports an active retirement lifestyle!
Plus, as a valuable part of the Well by Program and included in your monthly fee, our on-site Health Services Navigator will coordinate all your health-related services to help you stay well and enjoy life.
A. First and foremost, The Heritage is a senior living community focused on helping you enjoy a youthful, fulfilling and fun lifestyle. That’s why we offer a full range of services included in your monthly fee, freeing you to spend your time and energy doing things you enjoy. A. Each month, as part of your monthly service fee at The Heritage, you’ll receive a meal plan credit to be used for any dining option on campus. Choose from our fine dining in The Brandywine, or our more casual dining in The Tavern… including its popular patio for outdoor dining. No matter which inviting dining venue you select, you’ll be treated to a varied menu of delicious options, including healthy choices and special dietary requests. Your meal plan may also be applied to guest meals and carryout meals.
A. Indoors or outdoors, The Heritage offers you year-round opportunities to be active, socialize with neighbors and have fun. Our beautifully natural 78-acre campus provides a unique, serene setting perfect for casual strolls or as a backdrop for reading a good book. It’s active retirement living at its best.
The Heritage Center serves as the hub of indoor activities, with a fitness center, indoor swimming pool, Well by Design Center, physician offices, full-service bank, library, beauty salon and day spa. You’ll also enjoy The Heritage Center for activities and social times with neighbors: participating in classes and community events, watching games in The Tavern and enjoying delicious meals in your choice of dining venues.
